When the BGA is asked to nominate a representative for an International Amateur Baduk Championship, we select the player with the most points on this list, who has earned points in the last 5 years (amendment by Council 21st February 2010) and is also a BGA member. Their accumulated points will then be reset to zero.

Each year the BGA gets to nominate one player to represent us in the World Amateur Go Championship.

The London Open rules of play are the AGA rules with BGA interpretation, with the exception that the illegal move rule is replaced by the EGF rule 4 below. The London Open Rules implements the second option for the rules of play in the EGF General Tournament Rules.

Title Match 2007

The title match between Bei Ge and Alex Selby was played between July and October, and was broadcast, with commentary by Matthew Macfadyen, on KGS. Most of the venues were private homes, for ease of Internet access, apart from Game 4 which was at the Milton Keynes Tournament. Game 5 was not needed.
