The EGCC has a number of promotional booklets, leaflets and other items about Go. This page briefly describes and illustrates them. Many of them are available through the BGA.
These items are normally made available free to volunteers doing outreach work on behalf of the BGA, which includes Go club secretaries.
This page briefly describes and illustrates the various promotional literature items that have been superceded or obsolete.
Please contact the secretary or president if you want to have copies of them, as they may still be available in limited quantities.
The Youth Grand Prix started after the 2008 London Open. After the BYGC, which counts double points, 50 young players had played in a tournament. Michael Webster increased his lead at the British Go Congress. At the UK GO Challenge the top 4 players all scored 80 points.
UCC in Cork ran their second tournament of 2009 in November, though it was of course in a different acedemic year from that in January. It was again held over two days and five games and 18 players took part.
The 36th London Open was held again at ISH, Great Portland Street. Special guest was again the teaching professional from Amsterdam, Guo Juan. The top one or two games were being broadcast live on Pandanet each round, but unfortunately the planned webcam was not in operation.
