The 21st Irish Open was held as usual in the Teachers' Club in Dublin and again was part of the Pandanet Go European Cup. There attendance was 41, the strongest being the winner Ondrej Silt (6 dan Czechia).

This note summarises the most significant discussions and decisions at the Council meeting on 22nd February.

Gerry Mills has announced that he plans to retire as Book Seller in November. Council would like to thank Gerry for the many years of outstanding service he has given to the British Go community.

Council spent some time discussing the future of the Book Shop,

One of the best ways of learning is by informal discussion at your local Go Club; record your games and then play through them, if possible discussing them with other, preferably stronger players.
