For this event, normally held every two years at the EGCC, the very strongest players throughout Europe receive personal invitations, which has included Matthew Macfdadyen. The BGA is normally asked to nominate one official British player. Anyone with a high enough European Go Rating [1] may elect to enter at their own expense.
