Accommodation and travel
To allow individual choice, accommodation is not included with the tournament,
but there are many B&B's, hotels and guest houses nearby. Single student
rooms (not en-suite) with breakfast are available at Selwyn College for 47 pppn.
These must be arranged and paid at least a week in advance through Phil Beck

as the college does not accept individual bookings directly from third parties.
The YHA is very close to the station (0870 770 5742) and has dormitory-style
accommodation for 17.50 (13.95 U18) pppn including breakfast. A limited amount
of basic space may be available with local players, first priority will be given
to overseas and concession entries. Contact Will Brooks (012223 322998

The railway station (CB1 2JW) and central coach station (CB1 1NQ) are both about 2 miles from Selwyn College (in different directions). Although Selwyn College itself has a limited number of spaces, parking restrictions are in force on streets in the local area.

Tournament Format
The main tournament will be a 6 round McMahon with time limits of 1 hour per person plus 30 stones in 5 minutes byo-yomi. The lightning tournament will be 12 minutes sudden death. There will be a continuous 13x13 self-pairing side event running over the weekend, and a team tournament. The AGM of the British Go Association will be held on Saturday in Selwyn college before a trip to a local restaurant.Programme of Events
