The main tournament, open to all, will be a 3 round McMahon, with 60 minutes + increasing overtime (30 stones in the first 5 minutes, then 50 stones in 5 minutes thereafter).
To enter, send your name, club and grade, and pay on the day. The basic entry fee is £10.
Subtract £5 for unwaged (including full-time students), under 18s and senior citizens.
Add £1.50 if not a member of the BGA.
Add £5 for late entries (received after noon on Friday 8th March).
There will be prizes for the overall winner, players on three wins, (and probably some others).
If games are recorded we shall try to arrange for stronger players to review in time available.
From the Cambridge rail station, the venue is about 1 mile North-West (15 minutes walk).
You may also catch any one of several buses going towards the city centre and get off by the bus station and walk back along Parkside.
Free parking on site. Enter from the Parkside entrance.
The venue is near to the central bus and coach station area. (It is less than 5 minutes' walk away along Parkside.)
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided as part of the entry fee. Consumption of food will be discouraged in the playing area but an alternative on site will be available for those bringing their own lunch.
There are 3 good pubs at the back of the school close by:
The Free Press, Prospect Row, The Elm Tree, Elm Street, and The First And Last, Melbourne Place. Town centre cafes are only a short walk away.
