Other regional leagues have been held, mostly in the 1970s and early 1980s, but reporting of results was patchy.

In addition the Jubilee Challenge Trophy (a Goban) was instigated for the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. After a few years of competition it was won by Leamington, who still hold it.

British Student

British Go Association Online Student Championship

Students are defined as

  • Under-18 or
  • Under-26 and studying full-time or part-time at a UK approved educational establishment

Handicap tournament held in Worcestershire and sponsored by Black Bull Perry. Was replaced by the West Surrey Handicap.

Fuseki Follow-On

In this tournament, a professional game had been chosen which had a close result and was adjudged close after the fuseki. Each player played this same game four times, twice as black and twice as white.

Cardiff

The first event planned for 9 November 2014 was cancelled due to problems with the venue.

Our Online League (Teams) Chester A

Our League Tournament is designed to be played mainly over the Internet. The purpose is to encourage interaction between players in different areas of the country and to encourage online play amongst members of our Association.

The league has not been held since 2018.

Individual Leagues ran from January 2011 to October 2012.

An event for Dan players held as part of the Cambridge Mind Sports Olympiad.

South London Kyu Players Alison Bexfield

In the main tournament in 2013 students were split into three groups, each of which played a Swiss tournament with handicap equal to grade difference. In 2015 it was a single Swiss group.

In the side tournament the teachers all play each other, together with any other dan players present, in a round-robin tournament with all games even.

Was held in West London in 2015.

Women's World Qualifier Alison Jones

This tournament was formerly held primarily to select a British entry for the World Women’s Amateur Go Tournament.
