The second game ended in a somewhat perverse fashion. In the position at the end of Figure 4 the game is over, and White has won by 9.5 points (he has to connect at C so as to be able to answer A with B when the dame are filled). Actually, however, Terry failed to spot this, and filled the last of these dame himself. Matthew then resigned, since that seemed the only decent thing to do.
