We are very sorry to have to report the death of Sue Barnes, who was
killed in a road accident in Zimbabwe on 8th August.
She had been in Zimbabwe since January, working as an engineering
consultant for the Ministry of Construction, mainly on building
hospitals.
During a visit to Hwange game reserve, about 150 km south of Victoria
Falls, she was driving into town to collect a spare tyre when her car left
the road and turned over several times. She was taken to hospital but died
a few hours later. She was buried at Hwange cemetery on 10th August.
Sue will be very much missed by the many friends she made among British
and European Go players.
