Bar Low is won by Scott Cobbold
Scott Cobbold, a young player from East London, won the 2021 Bar Low with a perfect five out of five. This event was this second tournament to be run by the London Go Centre at its new location and the second of the weekend. Second place was tournament director Richard Wheeldon with four wins. Both players entered at 1 kyu, the maximum grade allowed for this kyu player event. Other players winning four games were James Taylor (7k Oxford University), Gilles Englebert (7k Oxford), Francesco Chiarini (8k LGC), Andrew Volovich (9k Cambridge), Marco Praderio (10k Lancaster), Guy Butler (16k LGC) and Stephen Crampton (22k LGC). It was note worthy that several of these also won four games at the previous day's T Mark Hall Rapid, so will have earned a worthy promotion). 38 players took part, including a big group from Tonbridge School. The day was finished off with a lecture by Saito Takashi (5d). Results
