European Pair Go Championships: 2005

Welcome to the home of the European Pair Go Championships 2005

The British Go Association was delighted to host the Championships in 2005.
Because the tournament started on Saint George's Day, the English patron saint,
the weekend had an English theme.
The tournament was held in Maidenhead, a town on the River Thames.
Hitachi Europe Ltd kindly offered the use of their premises as the venue.
The tournament took place on the Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April 2005.
There were 4 rounds on Saturday and 2 rounds on Sunday.
On Saturday evening we provided entertainment in the form of a barn dance.
On Sunday there was also a trip to the nearby historic town of Windsor.

Alongside the main tournament on Saturday, we ran another tournament: a Triangle Tournament. We experimented with a new format - 2 players versus 1. You entered this as a single person.

Affordable accommodation was available near to the venue at The Thames Hotel.
