British Youth Go Championships

The 2010 Youth Championships had 22 competitors aged from 6 to 19, with strengths from 1 kyu to 35 kyu. The library at Loughborough Grammar School served as a fine venue. Tian Ren Chen from Loughborough retained the youth champion with 5 straight wins including beating Aston's Mazhar Warraich. Prizes and places went to:

  • Overall winner: Tian Ren Chen (Loughborough) 2nd: Mazhar Warraich
  • U18: Jamie Taylor (Leeds) 2nd: Rony Cheng (Loughborough)
  • U16: Tian Ren Chen (Loughborough) 2nd: Mazhar Warraich (Aston)
  • U14: Jack Drury (Aston) 2nd: Ibraheem Hussain (Aston)
  • U12: Thomas Meehan (Solihull)
  • U10: Barney Shiu (Bristol) 2nd: Roella Smith (Milton)
  • U8: Sophie Broad (Surrey) 2nd: Anthony Ghica (Newmarket)
  • Handicap Winner: Langdon Truscott (Cambridge)
  • Castledine Trophy: Loughborough (beat Aston 3-0 and Cambridge 3-0)
  • Team with most wins: Aston
  • 13x13 knockout event: Jamie Taylor (Leeds) 2nd: Hamzah Reta (Aston)
