European Youth Go Championships 2014: Accommodation

We are pleased to announce that all accommodation is available on site at Butlins and we have negotiated a substantial discount on Butlins normal rates for the Congress/Championship for many of their rooms. Other on-site hotels and rooms are available, but not at discounted rates.

Accommodation is available in modern hotel rooms with breakfast included or in self-catering in apartments for up to 6 people for the three night stay. Check-in times are from 15:00-16:00, but you are welcome to use the resort facilities from 12:00 on the Friday.

There are plenty of restaurants on site for those who do not wish to cook their own food, but if you are expecting to eat on site each day then advance pre-payment will give you a discount on the regular prices.

There is a small supermarket on site and the shops of Bognor Regis town are nearby.

Butlins do not offer packages for one or two night stays, but you may find the price acceptable for only staying two nights of a three-night package. Of course other accommodation can be found in local hotels and guest houses, some within walking distance. A wider range of quality hotels can be found a short drive away.

Options

All prices are quoted in British Pounds as at 1st December 2013, the local currency (on 1st December £1 was approximately equal to 1.2 euro), and is the cost of the whole apartment for three nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Unfortunately all some types of discounted apartments have been sold, especially accommodation for groups of 5 or 6 and the Gold level apartments. Sometimes a cancellation may make one available.

However we now have been able to get some other options at our discounted rates and also there is the option to book via their site which may give different options.

Most hotel-style accommodation is also already full - there are various other hotels in Bognor- see links below - suitable for singles or couples coming to the British Go Congress.

• Wave Hotel Room King/Twin (sleeps 6)     under £400.00
  Each room unit consists of two bedrooms: one with a double King) or two singles (twin), and one with two children's bunk beds and a shower room.

Booking

When booking using the Butlin's web-site you can book and pay for accommodation using a Bank Card (Visa or Mastercard).

Depending on the detailed options that you select, the total price may differ slightly from those quoted above. In particular Butlin's prices include insurance, but you may decide that this is not necessary.

Other Hotels and Extra Nights

We do not yet have the ability to book an extra night for the Monday at Butlins, we hope this will be made available but, as it may cost £50 per person, it may be better for you to move to a hotel near your airport or elsewhere.

Local hotels available include:

• Best Western in Bognor Regis, approx 1 km from Butlins, has a few double rooms from £71 per night including breakfast through the booking.com service.
• Russell Hotel, approx 1.25 km from Butlins, has double rooms/twin rooms at £207 for three nights including breakfast through the booking.com service.

Some hotel prices increase as they get fuller - they price by the room, available in various sizes.
