New event for 2025. A major 3-day six round class A tournament with long time controls, giving the chance for players not qualifying for Candidates' to enjoy spectating and playing alongside the Candidates' (British Championship) games.
Players with rating below 1900 are invited to enter. Rating is at time of entry: entrants who later qualify for Candidates' will be moved if eligible; otherwise, they can still play Aspirants' even if their rating exceeds 1900.
