This year, the Scottish Open returned to Edinburgh, at Pollock Halls, for the first time since 1996. An early favourite was a visiting Australian 6th Dan, Wuge Briscoe, but his challenge was seen off by Quentin Mills, who won all of his games. Wuge took second place with 5/6, and Francis Roads came third with 4/6. Also on 4/6 was Roger Daniel.
