Northern Tournament: Results 2005

The Northern Tournament was also the MSO Championship.

MSO Rapid Tournament: Results 2005
This was an all-play-all tournament with handicap of grade difference minus one. Time limits were 30 minutes sudden death. Handicaps above 9 stones were mostly given in the form of komi at the rate of 13 points (that is twice the komi of 6½ that was used in the one even game) per extra grade difference, except in two cases, where more stones were used as well.
Note that the black the 26 handicap game by 3 points, and lost the 22 handicap game by around 10 points.
The tie break was to look at the games between the tied players. That led to two further ties to decide, which where again broken by looking at mutual games.
