If you are a junior and not a member of the group yet let us know your id so we can invite you in. 13x13 handicap tournament lasting all afternoon. European Women's Go Championship

Saturday 4th - Monday 6th September 2021. More Details here. All entrants must be female and hold a passport issued by a country which is a member of the EGF (this is essentially all countries in Europe, including Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan, and Israel). This event will now be held on-line.

British Go Congress

Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd October. Novotel Hotel, 2 Great Central Square, Leicester LE1 4JS. Lightning Tournament Friday evening, British Open (6 rounds) Sat/Sun. The two highest -placed British* players will be invited to play off for the British Championship. Contact congress at britgo.org

British Youth Championships

Saturday 20th November Leicester County Bridge Club, 67 St Oswald Road, Leicester LE3 6RJ. Registration 09:15 to 09:45. Prize giving 17:00. Youth titles at U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 will be contested, on 19x19 boards, in addition to the titles of overall British Youth Champion and British Schools Team Champions. Modified McMahon system will be used. Beginners and those new to the game will be made particularly welcome, and can select to play most of their games on 13x13 boards. Coventry Go Tournament

Saturday 27th November Warwick University
Registration 9:00 - 9:45. 3 round McMahon, time limits Fischer time, 30 minutes basic plus 10 seconds a move. Entry fees - BGA Members £5, Non-members £8, Youth/Student £4.50, First Tournament £3, pay with cash on the day.
Location is room B2.01-2.05, 2nd floor of the Chemistry building on University Road. MAP OF LOCATION There should be a sign or a helpful club member there to guide people in.
Tea/Coffee and biscuits provided. Other campus food facilities may be limited or non-existent depending on their available staff so consider bringing lunch.

British Championship Title Match

Saturday 27th November, 10:30 At a private address in Cambridge, Daniel Hu and Bruno Poltronieri will play off for the 2021 British Championship. The match will be broadcast on KGS (look for the game in the British Room) along with a live audio commentary on KGS by Andrew Simons 4d (look for the game by Uberdude).
