Video Meeting on the EGC in Ankara

Tuesday 20th January 2026, 19:00. Online via ZOOM – to join on the night please use this meeting link. The organisers of this year's European Congress will do a short presentation on the arrangements for Ankara this year, and will then answer any questions you may have.

Online Lesson 1

Sunday 25th January 2026, 14:00 - 15:30 Online via Discord. Joining instructions sent with registration.
Kim Seung-Jun (also known as Blackie), a famous 9 dan Korean professional, will review professional's games, and some of yours that you send in, to extract learning points from them.
The lesson is targeted at 9 kyu - 3 dan players, but others will also gain benefit.

Saturday 7th February. London Go Centre, Dalling Road, London W6 0JD. 5-round McMahon with Fischer time 20 minutes + 5 seconds. Open to all juniors (under 18) not just from London. Registration 10:10–10:30, prize-giving by 16:00. Entry fee £5.

Coventry

Saturday 21st February 2026. Warwick University, Faculty of Arts Building FAB 1.11, Coventry. 3-round McMahon with Fischer time 30 minutes + 10 seconds. Registration 10:00–10:30, prize-giving by 18:00. Entry fees are as follows:

• Adults: £10 for BGA members and £15 for BGA non-members.
• Warwick students: £1.50 for BGA members and £6.50 for BGA non-members.
• Youth or first rated tournament: £5

On-campus parking is plentiful but costs £2.50 for the day; nearest to venue is the Junction Car Park, CV4 7EZ.
